Front-wheel-drive CR-Vs now get 23 mpg-US (10 L/100 km, 28 mpg-imp) in the city and31 mpg-US (7.6 L/100 km, 37 mpg-imp) on the highway, while models with the option full-time four-wheel drive is rated at 22 mpg-US (11 l/100 km, 26 mpg-imp) to 30 mpg-US (7.8 l/100 km, 36 mpg-imp), respectively. The CR-V is on sale in the U.S. December 15, 2011.

News: Honda is attracting 172,000 vehicles because of a problem with the door hooks that could cause a door to open while driving. The recall affects the redesigned 2012 CR-V crossover-utility vehicle and the new Acura ILX entry-luxury sedan.
On 7 October 2012, Honda has recalled about 489,000 CR-Vs in Europe and the United States to find water rain can enter the window of the vehicles power switch on the driver's door, which could cause the switch to overheat and catch fire.
